Everything You Need to Know
Still Have Questions?
Our admissions team is available to answer questions about ASAM Level 3.1 residential treatment, admissions, eligibility, referrals, and what to expect during treatment.
What is ASAM Level 3.1 residential treatment?
ASAM Level 3.1 is a low-intensity residential treatment program for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Residents live on-site in a structured, recovery-focused environment while participating in individualized treatment, recovery support, case management, life skills development, and continuing care planning.
Is Cornerstone a sober living home?
No. Cornerstone Recovery Residence is an ASAM Level 3.1 residential treatment program. While residents live on-site during treatment, the program provides individualized treatment planning, coordinated care, recovery support, and other services designed to support recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
What is the difference between residential treatment and inpatient rehabilitation?
Residential treatment provides a structured, supportive environment for individuals who are medically stable but benefit from ongoing treatment and daily support. Unlike hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation, ASAM Level 3.1 focuses on individualized treatment, recovery support, and preparing residents for continued recovery after treatment.
Who is appropriate for this program?
Cornerstone serves adult men with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions who are appropriate for ASAM Level 3.1 residential treatment. Our admissions process includes a confidential assessment to determine whether this level of care is the right fit.
What services are included?
Residents may receive individualized treatment planning, co-occurring care, case management, recovery support, life skills development, and discharge and continuing care planning as part of their treatment experience.
Does Cornerstone treat mental health conditions?
Cornerstone is a co-occurring capable residential treatment program. Treatment planning considers both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions to support whole-person recovery.
